A calendar with commemorative photos is one of the most classic printed gift items. These are great to gift to a parent or an older relative, especially if you live a great distance apart and if you have children they aren’t able to see often. Compile some photos from the past year of you and your family. Or, depending on your budget, you could set up a mini photoshoot with a professional photographer (such as Blue Cardinal Photography). Each month should list significant moments like birthdays or anniversaries on the respective dates.

You can also create a pet calendar, of only your own or from all throughout the family. You can never go wrong with photos of cute animals, after all.

If you’re looking for a gift for someone in your immediate family or for a close friend, consider creating a small photo album. There are several options online where you can digitally create an album and have it shipped to your door. Consider grabbing a print from an artist you know they like. Or, choose a print from a place that holds meaning for the two of you. This could be a city skyline, a beach, or even a store or restaurant that may offer such things in a gift shop. Be sure that the type of art you choose is to your recipient’s personal taste so that they can display it. From there, the sky is the limit with what you can choose.
